  • Oversee the management of MCPOM
  • Responsible for the general supervision of the affairs of MCPOM
  • Serve as the official representative of MCPOM
  • Convene the monthly meet and greets and board meetings
  • Prepare agenda for monthly Board meetings
  • Draft monthly president’s message in newsletter
Vice President
Stacey Tyser
  • Assist the president in the management of MCPOM
  • Assume the responsibilities of the president in the absence or inability of the President to serve
  • Monitor and respond to inquiries made to the MCPOM club phone
  • Pick up mail from Club PO Box at least weekly
Treasurer
Penny Harrison
  • Manage the finances of MCPOM
  • Responsible for all funds and securities
  • Prepare and maintain the annual budget
  • Present the budget to the board for approval
  • Ensure that proper financial records and procedures are maintained
  • Assist with fund distributions for the clothing and equipment sales
  • Deposit all monies and other valuable property of MCPOM in the appropriate bank
  • Prepare budget updates for presentation at each board meeting
Membership Vice President
Celinda Appleby
  • Responsible for maintaining MCPOM's membership records on Big Tent
  • Oversee the enrollment of new members
  • Serve as MCPOM’s representative to NOMOTC
  • Report new member listing to NOMOTC each September
  • File appropriate membership reports with NOMOTC as required throughout the membership year
  • Send new members welcome emails with overview of club activities and support functions
  • Work with New Member Social Coordinator to organize New Member events
Secretary
Pam Gully
  • Responsible for the keeping of an accurate record of the proceedings of all meetings of the Executive Board
  • Prepare minutes of the board meetings
  • Post draft minutes of each board meeting on Big Tent as soon as possible following meeting
  • Oversee MCPOM correspondence and maintain copies of all club correspondence
  • Draft correspondence as requested by the Board
Historian
Melissa Ford
  • Attend Club events to photograph and memorialize or recruit members to do these tasks
  • Maintain records of Club activities, such as photos, programs, news coverage, etc.
  • Maintain contact list of Past Presidents and other officers
Newsletter Designer

  • Responsible for formatting and publishing newsletter
  • Work closely with the newsletter editors to transform outline in newsletter layout, solicit content and edit content
  • Work with Advertising/Publicity Director to ensure that published ads are up-to-date
  • Post newsletter on Big Tent

  • Serve as the central point for all incoming newsletter articles and columns for the monthly newsletter
  • Outreach to club members and board members to develop ideas for newsletter articles

  • Work closely with the newsletter designer to transform outline in newsletter layout and eventually publish
  • Coordinate with Advertising Director to ensure that appropriate ads are in place

  • Responsible for planning and execution of twice annual clothing and equipment

  • Secure location for sales and coordinator of MCPOM volunteer to work the sale
Parliamentarian

  • Advise the Executive Board on correct parliamentary procedure in accordance with bylaws and operating procedures
  • Responsible for maintaining the MCPOM bylaws and suggesting amendments as necessary
Social Director

  • Plan, execute and publicize the four main MCPOM Social events: Halloween Party, Holiday Party, Winter Social, and Picnic
  • Secure location and amenities for each event
  • Inform and invite MCPOM members to events
  • Solicit additional assistance for set up and clean up of events from MCPOM members as appropriate

  • Invoice advertisers and receive payments.
  • Solicit new advertisers as appropriate
Publicity Director

  • Outreach to local hospitals, fertility clinics and social organizations regarding MCPOM
  • With Advertising Director, research, solicit and communicate with prospective advertisers
  • Publicize MCPOM initiatives and projects such as Preschool Booklet, Sale, etc.
  • Act as liaison to media outlets to encourage positive coverage of MCPOM activities and events

  • Identify families willing to be shadowed and expectant moms desiring to participate

  • Follow up with and confirm acceptance of nomination prior to presentation of slate to membership
