Homeschool with the Cool Kids Part 2: A virtual evening for parents of kids who decided virtual learning wasn't working for their family- or any parents interested in homeschooling their crew!!  Bring your questions, share your findings, and take away a tip or two.

If you missed the first one - here's your chance to join our second round!  We've learned a lot since the first Homeschool with the Cool Kids Evening.  Let's share what's worked and what hasn't.  And most importantly those who weren't able to join us the first time will have a chance to participate!

**This will be a moderated event with two guest speakers.  Please submit questions in advance to  At the end of the session we will open the floor for discussion and any new questions.**

Featuring: Alessa Giampaolo Keener, M.Ed.

Alessa Giampaolo Keener, M.Ed. is an educational consultant who works with families across the country in developing individualized education programs for children who do not thrive in traditional brick and mortar schools. In addition to homeschooling her own children from kindergarten into college, Alessa earned a masters degree in education from Johns Hopkins University and a certificate in special education advocacy from the William and Mary Law School. Alessa volunteers her time managing the Maryland Homeschool Association.

Featuring: Veteran Homeschool Mom, Abby Sines

For 5 years, Abby has led her crew (8, 6, 3.5) with a fearless eclectic approach from her home in CalvertCounty.  Their favorite field trips are all of them!  But if they had to choose, glass blowing, weekday trips to Williamsburg and NYC for museums and theater top the list!  Abby's husband is a firefighter in PG County and together, the Sines team creates many shenanigans!

A freebie tip from Abby: a great free Homeschool resource - useThe Seek App by Nat Geo when on walks to identify plants, bugs, birds and more- science lesson: check!!!
